Frequently asked questions

Questions about the calculators

How accurate are the calculators?

Each calculator uses explicit, documented formulas based on the dimensions and product data you enter. Accuracy depends on the accuracy of your measurements and product specifications.

Are metric and imperial units supported?

Yes. Every calculator supports both metric and imperial units, and you can switch between them at any time without losing your inputs.

Does changing currency convert prices?

No. Changing the currency only changes the display symbol and formatting. Enter a current supplier price in the selected currency for an accurate cost.

How is waste calculated?

Waste allowances are shown as a separate, editable percentage applied on top of the theoretical requirement — they are never hidden inside the base quantity.

Are supplier pack sizes included?

Yes. Purchase quantities are rounded up to full packs, boxes, bags or rolls based on the coverage or size you enter for your chosen product.

Can a calculation be saved or shared?

Yes. Every calculator lets you save a calculation locally, share it as a link with prefilled values, or print a clean summary.

Is the result a professional quotation?

No. Every result is a planning estimate. Confirm product specifications, site conditions and final quantities with your supplier or contractor before ordering.

Can irregular surfaces be calculated?

Yes. Several calculators let you draw an irregular surface directly on a plan instead of entering only length and width.
